BFO Motorcycles are proud to announce the two major points of interest regarding the hayabusa:PROJECT that is currently under development.

  • The hayabusa:PROJECT is no more. It is now referred to as the bfo:THING, although this is only a working title and the project will be properly named at a later date. As the new name suggests, the donor, which is a brand new motorcycle, is a Suzuki B King, rather than a Suzuki Hayabusa.

  • The bfo:THING will come with a billet aluminium frame and swinging arm as standard. Not fabricated. Not tubular. Not welded. Billet. Machined from a solid block of aluminium.

The revised outline specification of the bfo:THING is as follows ...

Specification
A limited edition, extremely high performance motorcycle, based around a BRAND NEW Suzuki B King donor.

Chassis
A billet aluminium alloy frame and swinging arm, both machined from solid.

Bodywork
Pre-impregnated carbon fibre.

Power
163 horsepower (estimated).

Weight
163 kilograms (targeted).

Options
Aftermarket components will be offered at extra cost.

The bfo:THING will be built in limited numbers, and should be available in early 2010. The retail price is yet to be finalised but is expected to be competitive when compared with other motorcycles of a similar high end nature. The final appearance and specifications may differ from those shown. As the site is currently being redeveloped, progress updates will be listed below.

BFO Motorcycles are proud to reveal their new billet:SWINGARM. Made to order, these will be available very, very soon.

Specification
Replacement swinging arms, machined from billet aluminium.

Availability
These swinging arms will be made to order, to suit individual customer specifications.

Delivery
Anticipated delivery is six to eight weeks from receipt of order.

Pricing
Prices are in the process of being calculated and will be available shortly, on application.

The previous interactive feature involving the swinging arm has now been moved to the billet:SWINGARM page to help the home page load faster

23rd November 2009

We have discovered a problem with our email hosting service, which we are working to resolve. Consequently, if you have emailed us in the last couple of weeks we have probably not received it. We apologise, and ask if you could contact us again, using the 'Contact Us' link at the top of each page on the site. Thank you.

31st October 2009

The product:VIEWER page has now been updated with the first design iteration of the bfo:THING.

30th October 2009

The two big annoucements are that (a) we are pleased to confirm that the hayabusa:PROJECT is now being referred to as the bfo:THING, and (b) the bfo:THING will feature a billet frame and swinging arm.

There are updates to many pages on the site, mainly reflecting progress on the bfo:THING, and the product:VIEWER now features the basic geometry for the bfo:THING. This will also have another large update in the next day or two.

The for:SALE page has also been updated, and the mailing:LIST page has also now been corrected. Thank you for your patience.

12th October 2009

A small update to the bfo:THING:diary, and as you should hopefully be able to see above, the announcement of our new billet swinging arms.

5th October 2009

Pages for the bfo:THING:diary, and the design:SPECIFICATION have been added.

Images have also been added to the for:SALE page.

18th September 2009

A big update! The product:VIEWER, which can also be accessed through the bfo:THING page, has been uploaded.

This is a piece of software that allows users to view the three dimensional design geometry of the bike using a web browser, although you will need to download and install a piece of software onto your computer for it to run properly.

16th September 2009

The mailing list page has been temporarily removed due to a glitch.

If you wish to be added to the mailing list in the meantime, then you can contact:US via email. Thank you.

10th September 2009

The new website has been uploaded today. At this point in time, all the links from this home page work, but the secondary links do not. Links that do not work yet will simply refresh the page. New pages will be added daily over the next couple of weeks until the site is complete.

At this point, these updates will be based around the progress of the bfo:THING.

We welcome any feedback you may have regarding the new website. Please feel free to forward the web address to those who you feel may be interested. Thank you.

See what items are for:SALE at this moment in time.

BFO Motorcycles occasionally sends out emails detailing progress on our projects, and news of any aftermarket parts we may have produced. Follow the link if you would like to be added to our mailing:LIST and kept updated.

In the unlikely event there are any broken or missing links on this website, we would appreciate it if you would be good enough to contact:US and let us know. Thank you.
